Apache Corp. announced March 27 that Standard & Poor’s downgraded its credit rating to BB+ from BBB. The company said it will post about $650 million of letters of credit related to retiring assets in the UK North Sea and that it does not expect the rating to impact its financial position, liquidity or business strategy.
