CNOOC inks agreements with IOCs for offshore China assets
CNOOC signed strategic cooperation agreements with nine international oil companies for the development of assets in the Pearl River Mouth Basin offshore China, including Area A and Area B but not the state-run Chinese company’s existing mining areas and contract areas. The IOCs are Chevron, ConocoPhillips, Equinor, Husky Energy, KUFPEC, Roc Oil, Shell, SK Innovation and Total.Area A covers 15,300 sq km in water depths of 80-120 meters, and the agreements cover only the deep layers below......
