Private equity firm Global Infrastructure Partners announced that Dr. Jim Yong
Kim, who has been president of the World Bank since 2012, will join GIP as a partner
and vice chairman on Feb. 1. Kim has also been president of Dartmouth College and
director of the World Health Organization’s HIV/AIDS Department. When Kim
announced his resignation from the World Bank, he said he wanted to focus
on increasing infrastructure
investments in developing countries.
